About Dan Hamilton:
Dan was born in Chester, PA and has lived in Delaware, Massachusetts, and New Jersey, where he attended high school. Dan attended college at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst for three years where he gained his first exposure to the fledgling internet (then known as ARPANET) and then served in the U.S. Navy (1988-98) as a Nuclear Engineering Laboratory Technician. He trained at the Naval Nuclear Power School in Orlando, Florida and at the National Engineering Labs in Idaho Falls, ID. Dan served the remainder of his enlistment in the U.S. Atlantic Fleet Submarine Force in both Groton, Connecticut and Norfolk, Virginia.
Dan holds a BA in history, a MPA and a JD. After serving in the Navy, Dan began work as a software developer, system architect and project manager. Dan also practiced law for several years before deciding to return to full time technology work. Dan has been happily married since 1993 and has three children.
Dan has been using Macs since Apple released Mac OS X 10.0, with all its UNIX goodness. Dan is forced to use a Dell laptop running Windows XP and a blackberry to make a living.
